Hi my name is Adele and I'm a 5 year old stunning long haired tabby tortie mix. I was found as a stray and impounded and then brought to the angels at Mt Olive TNR. When I got here I had some problems with my sugar levels. Thankfully my levels are fine now and I don't need insulin but I do require a special diet. I'm a more independent girl but don't get me wrong I do enjoy pets and I especially LOVE to be brushed. I also really enjoy sitting in the window and enjoying all the activities going on outside. When I first came to my foster home I was a bit shy at first but then warmed up. I would need a home that understands my need for a ... (Read More)transition period. In my current foster home I have a foster brother who I tolerate. I don't really play with him or interact much with him and I certainly have NEVER fought with him. I would really enjoy a quieter home with no small children. Do you think we could be a good match? If you are interested in meeting me please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Hi my name is Emma and I'm a super precious 3 year old female orange and grey tabby. I was rescued as a stray from Queens NY and was going to be TNR'd here in NJ but my caretaker realized that I was super friendly and would do better finding a forever home. Everyone says I have the most expressive eyes as you can see in my picture. I am a little shy with new people and am an independent girl. Despite this though I let my foster mom pick me up and give me lots of love (which I enjoy). I'm also a little dainty, being female and all I've got to keep myself looking nice. I do really well with other cats, but I've never met a dog so I'm ... (Read More)not sure how I would get along with one. Being that I am a little shy and getting adjusted to life in a home, I would need an adopter who would be patient with me as I adjust to my new environment. I know once I'm comfy that I'll be wanting lots of affection. Do you think you could be that person? If you are interested in meeting me please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-02-00226Colette (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)

When Mt. Olive TNR rescued Colette from a laundry room at the Village Green, the little black cat swore she was of royal Parisian lineage, a direct descendant of Le Chat Noir, the self-satisfied feline famously featured on the poster advertising Paris's first cabaret. While Colette was dissatisfied with the undignified sleeping arrangements in the laundry room, she was even more offended by the TNR's attempts to stuff her in a box and deliver her to the decidedly bourgeois home of her foster parents, who immediately began the process of transforming this Parisian princess into a Real Housecat of New Jersey. Colette - nicknamed Coco by ... (Read More)her foster parents - was understandably terrified by her new home, and spent a week hissing, spitting, and swatting whenever those enormous two-legged beasts came near. But eventually Coco realized that every evening, these horrible humans would deliver her a very fancy feast, delivered to her a la can-can. VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fl_MbBSKWY And so her foster parents immediately stopped calling her Coco Chanel and switched to Coco Cochon, named so for the animal she resembled as she voraciously gobbled her dinner, apparently unaware of the bits of beef and gravy glistening on her twitching whiskers. After many weeks of the two humans bringing the Gift of Gravy, Coco finally allowed the bald beasts to pet her. And, much to her surprise, she discovered that she quite enjoyed the company of these smelly AmŐ©ricains, who seemed to understand just how she required her chin scratched: Colette is a shy little girl that requires a home with no small children and an owner with patience. If you are interested in meeting Colette please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Mr. Gray is a 2 year old beautiful gray and white gentleman. Mr. Gray was found over the winter hiding in his foster moms bush. The poor guy was unable to walk and after being rushed to the vet, it was determined that his pelvis was crushed. The only thing he requires is a wet food only diet, otherwise he has a clean bill of health. Mr Gray loves any and all attention and enjoys a good lap to cuddle in as well as playtime.
