Rescue Me ID: 15-09-02-00226Colette (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

When Mt. Olive TNR rescued Colette from a laundry room at the Village Green, the little black cat swore she was of royal Parisian lineage, a direct descendant of Le Chat Noir, the self-satisfied feline famously featured on the poster advertising Paris's first cabaret. While Colette was dissatisfied with the undignified sleeping arrangements in the laundry room, she was even more offended by the TNR's attempts to stuff her in a box and deliver her to the decidedly bourgeois home of her foster parents, who immediately began the process of transforming this Parisian princess into a Real Housecat of New Jersey. Colette - nicknamed Coco by ... (Read More)her foster parents - was understandably terrified by her new home, and spent a week hissing, spitting, and swatting whenever those enormous two-legged beasts came near. But eventually Coco realized that every evening, these horrible humans would deliver her a very fancy feast, delivered to her a la can-can. VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fl_MbBSKWY And so her foster parents immediately stopped calling her Coco Chanel and switched to Coco Cochon, named so for the animal she resembled as she voraciously gobbled her dinner, apparently unaware of the bits of beef and gravy glistening on her twitching whiskers. After many weeks of the two humans bringing the Gift of Gravy, Coco finally allowed the bald beasts to pet her. And, much to her surprise, she discovered that she quite enjoyed the company of these smelly AmŐ©ricains, who seemed to understand just how she required her chin scratched: Colette is a shy little girl that requires a home with no small children and an owner with patience. If you are interested in meeting Colette please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Moe and I'm a very handsome 6 year old grey and white young man. My owner had to relocate and could not take me with him so I came to Mt Olive TNR Project. Unfortunately I was very traumatized by losing my human and it took a while for me to adjust. I'm happy to report now though that I have finally bounced back and am feeling much more comfortable at my foster home. My foster mom was actually really surprised that one day I was unhappy and then the next day I just decided it was time to move on and find love and affection with someone new. Now my foster mom struggles just to get a picture of me because I'm too busy ... (Read More)rubbing all over her and wanting to be in her lap. I really do love affection and am really looking for a forever home where I can be a lap cat. I will probably need someone who is patient with me, so I can warm up and get my bearings, but if you are patient I will give you my whole heart. At my vet checkup it was discovered that I have a heart murmur. At this time it is stable and should not affect my quality of life, but it may require closer monitoring as I age. If you are interested in meeting Moe please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you shortly. (Less)

Oona was born 2/10/14 and is a beautiful tortie girl. Oona came to us when a local resident saw a cat run out of a dumpster after it had been emptied by a garbage truck. The poor little one had cardboard wrapped all around her that had also caused some skin wounds. Oona came to us and was treated for her wounds and placed with a foster. Thankfully, Oona is all healed, has a clean bill of health, has no health deficits and is ready for adoption. This little one despite her circumstances is very sweet. She loves any and all attention she gets, often purring at the drop of a hat and rolling on her side for a full body pet. She gets ...
