Hi my name is Sasha and I'm a short haired tabby girl born on 4/14/16. I have very beautiful stripping on me that almost looks like tiger stripes. Everyone seems to think I'm very pretty. I'm a petite little girl but I'm full of energy. My foster mom says no one can keep up with me as I'm always chasing this toy or that toy. When I'm not playing I very much like to snuggle up in a lap and be pet. My foster mom also says I'm super friendly and come when I'm called. I'm good with cats and dogs. If you are interested in meeting Sasha please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to ... (Read More)you soon! (Less)

Hi my name is Rizzo and I was born 5/3/16. I am a solid black DSH with a small white patch on my chest. I got my name because I can be found running all over the house playing and my foster mom said I am like grease lighting. I'm a very sweet little girl that purrs at the drop of a hat. I love snuggles and pets and also love to play just like any other little one my age. Everyone who meets me though falls in love with me because I have really pretty expressive eyes and such a great personality. Do you think we could be the perfect fit? Rescue Me ID: 16-06-27-00361Cuddles (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Cuddles is a cat that was found as a stray and very sick. She only weighed 2.5 lbs as an 18 year old female. Thankfully we were able to get her healthy and her only remaining health concern is a slight case of hyperthyroid that is being medically managed with medication. Cuddles is as her name implies very much a lap cat. She occasionally will take interest in toys but her biggest interest is simply being near her human. This relaxed and laid back lady has been such a trooper in her old age and tolerated all her vet visits and medications like a champ and now deserves to find a forever home for as long as that may be. Cuddles ... (Read More)unfortunately does not do well with other cats or domesticated birds, but she does not mind dogs in the slightest. For this elderly girl we just want to find her a permanent residence to live out her days and would absolutely be willing to find a long term foster placement for her. This means that Mt Olive TNR Project would supply everything for her food, litter, medical expenses etc. if someone is willing to provide a loving and caring environment for her to live out her days. If you are interested in meeting Cuddles please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-03-00458Charlie Chaplin (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, FIV

Hi my name is Charlie Chaplin and I'm an adult male tuxedo gentleman. I am named Charlie Chaplin because I am quite the character and keep my foster mom busy with laughs and awwwweees. I love to play with toys but when I am done with my play time I like to gather up all my toys and place them in my empty food dishes. Have you ever had a cat willing to 'clean his room?' I also love any and all attention. I love sitting on my foster moms lap and can be found kneading and purring there. I'm a very level headed guy and just very much love anyone's company. Do you think you and I could be a good fit? Charlie is FIV+ which means that ... (Read More)eventually he may have trouble fighting off infection. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be transmitted by casual play. Many FIV positive cats live with non FIV cats and live a long and happy life if the social structure is positive. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans. If you are interested in meeting Charlie please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you shortly. (Less)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Adele and I'm a 5 year old stunning long haired tabby tortie mix. I was found as a stray and impounded and then brought to the angels at Mt Olive TNR. When I got here I had some problems with my sugar levels. Thankfully my levels are fine now and I don't need insulin but I do require a special diet. I'm a more independent girl but don't get me wrong I do enjoy pets and I especially LOVE to be brushed. I also really enjoy sitting in the window and enjoying all the activities going on outside. When I first came to my foster home I was a bit shy at first but then warmed up. I would need a home that understands my need for a ... (Read More)transition period. In my current foster home I have a foster brother who I tolerate. I don't really play with him or interact much with him and I certainly have NEVER fought with him. I would really enjoy a quieter home with no small children. Do you think we could be a good match? If you are interested in meeting me please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-08-00787Emma (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Emma and I'm a super precious 3 year old female orange and grey tabby. I was rescued as a stray from Queens NY and was going to be TNR'd here in NJ but my caretaker realized that I was super friendly and would do better finding a forever home. Everyone says I have the most expressive eyes as you can see in my picture. I am a little shy with new people and am an independent girl. Despite this though I let my foster mom pick me up and give me lots of love (which I enjoy). I'm also a little dainty, being female and all I've got to keep myself looking nice. I do really well with other cats, but I've never met a dog so I'm ... (Read More)not sure how I would get along with one. Being that I am a little shy and getting adjusted to life in a home, I would need an adopter who would be patient with me as I adjust to my new environment. I know once I'm comfy that I'll be wanting lots of affection. Do you think you could be that person? If you are interested in meeting me please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-02-00226Colette (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

When Mt. Olive TNR rescued Colette from a laundry room at the Village Green, the little black cat swore she was of royal Parisian lineage, a direct descendant of Le Chat Noir, the self-satisfied feline famously featured on the poster advertising Paris's first cabaret. While Colette was dissatisfied with the undignified sleeping arrangements in the laundry room, she was even more offended by the TNR's attempts to stuff her in a box and deliver her to the decidedly bourgeois home of her foster parents, who immediately began the process of transforming this Parisian princess into a Real Housecat of New Jersey. Colette - nicknamed Coco by ... (Read More)her foster parents - was understandably terrified by her new home, and spent a week hissing, spitting, and swatting whenever those enormous two-legged beasts came near. But eventually Coco realized that every evening, these horrible humans would deliver her a very fancy feast, delivered to her a la can-can. VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fl_MbBSKWY And so her foster parents immediately stopped calling her Coco Chanel and switched to Coco Cochon, named so for the animal she resembled as she voraciously gobbled her dinner, apparently unaware of the bits of beef and gravy glistening on her twitching whiskers. After many weeks of the two humans bringing the Gift of Gravy, Coco finally allowed the bald beasts to pet her. And, much to her surprise, she discovered that she quite enjoyed the company of these smelly AmŐ©ricains, who seemed to understand just how she required her chin scratched: Colette is a shy little girl that requires a home with no small children and an owner with patience. If you are interested in meeting Colette please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon! (Less)
